PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Course Description
Leadership is the process of influencing people; it’s all about motivating and affecting others. So, how do you motivate your team to move forward in the same direction when your employees are so diverse? How do you convince your peers to buy-in and support your projects when they are focused on their own goals? How do you persuade your boss to give you the budget and resources to implement your key initiative?
The answer is – it depends; there is no one-size-fits-all influence model. Understanding how to adapt and approach each working relationship to get the most out of it is a sign of a strong leader. It is about offering support to help influence up, down and across the company. These leaders know how to influence relationships to inspire and develop competent employees who are driven for results.
In this workshop, we cover what influence is and why it matters, the catalysts and barriers to influence, and the five different styles of influencing. Participants will walk away learning the three most valuable qualities of influencing and moving others -attunement, buoyancy, and clarity. Influence is a crucial element to building and leveraging strong working relationships.
