Course Description

Have you ever wondered why some people thrive in life – experience significant success in nearly every area – while others barely survive? Why do some excel and others fail? Many experts say the difference between those who succeed and those who don’t is mental toughness or emotional resilience.

Mental toughness is a term used in psychology to refer to the grit and strength that people possess to soldier through struggles and succeed. In other words, it is having a positive mental attitude, coping skills, and resilience necessary to overcome life’s challenges.

Mentally tough leaders are more consistent than their peers and have a clear goal that they work towards each day. These leaders don’t let stress or distractions prevent them from continuing the march towards their vision, and make a habit of building up the people around them all of the time.

In this session, Improving Emotional Resilience, we will share how to stick with things that are important to you – even when they are not easy. It is about getting into the practice of persistence – to keep going, despite setbacks, challenges, or obstacles. 

Participants will walk away learning how to continue taking steps to move forward, even if in small ways. When the going gets tough, the tough get going. To be or become more mentally tough, you need to keep going. We will share ways to learn that philosophy and build up your grit and emotional resiliency, which leads to greater success and results.
