LEADING WITH EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE

In school, we were put into teams, but we were never taught how to work within those teams. Our instructors gave us stress, but they never taught us how to handle and manage our stress. You see, most of these life skills are not taught in school or the workplace, for that matter. In today’s day and age, soft skills are just as, if not more, important than hard skills. Being aware of your emotions and those of others, and learning to lead with emotional intelligence are skills that can be taught, and this keynote will start you off with the basics.

COMMUNICATION STYLES - CREATING CONNECTIONS

Treating others as you want to be treated isn’t necessarily the best practice when it comes to communication styles as it assumes everyone is just like you. Do you often wonder why you can say something to one person, and it is taken the way you meant it, but then when you say that same thing to another person, it is taken the wrong way?  In this keynote, discover what your communication style is, learn how to communicate with impact, and determine how to flex your style to communicate effectively with others

DEVELOPING HIGH PERFORMING TEAMS

Think about all the people that you come into contact with in your work life: colleagues, board members and other volunteers, donors, clients, the general public and so on. With this large network of people connected to your organization, learning how to work well together is vital. People in every workplace talk about building teams and working as a team, but few understand how to develop and lead an effective, productive team. This keynote shows you how.

MEANINGFUL COACHING CONVERSATIONS

As a leader, growing new talent, continuing to develop others, and sparking a renewed sense of purpose in your seasoned professionals, is a great opportunity and responsibility. You need to do it well. Coaching in the workplace is one of many practices leaders need to learn to provide support to their teams. This keynote will teach you the steps and skills needed to start to have meaningful coaching conversations in the workplace.

LEVERAGING YOUR LEADERSHIP STRENGTHS

Research suggests that when people align their strengths with their goals, they are much more likely to achieve them. And when people realize their goals, they tend to be happier and more fulfilled with the result. Do you know your leadership strengths? Do you know how to use those strengths to your maximum advantage? In this keynote, discover how to leverage your strengths, put your natural abilities to use and commit to being an outstanding performer.

PRESENTING WITH POWER AND IMPACT

Captivating an audience, exuberating confidence, and leaving an impact on your audience are all things we want in a speaker, but might not be something we know how to deliver ourselves. Every pitch, email, phone call, and conversation is a type of presentation, so having good presentation skills can go along way in the business world. Many people believe impactful presenters are naturally gifted, but it is a skill that anyone can learn. This keynote shows you some simple tricks and tips to becoming a powerful presenter.

MOTIVATION MATTERS

What is the one most common thing holding most people back in this very moment? The Answer? Motivation. A lack of motivation can keep us from committing to working harder and smarter, in the workplace, and in life. It keeps us stuck and prevents us from achieving what matters to us most. In this keynote, you will discover ten techniques used to increase motivation, and learn to influence your employees to feel a greater enthusiasm for the work they do, and the people they work with.

DIVERSITY - CREATING AN INCLUSIVE CULTURE

Diversity in the workplace is more prominent than ever. The workplace is a hub made up of different ethnicities, religions, genders, personalities, backgrounds, likes, dislikes, etc. As more and more teams become cross–cultural and businesses become global, creating a corporate culture that is inclusive is difficult, but vital in this day and age. This keynote shows you how to build inclusive practices within your organization that fully engage diversity.

BRINGING MINDFULNESS INTO THE WORKPLACE

In today’s work world, we are constantly bombarded with stress-inducing demands, incessant connectivity through our mobile devices, endless fluctuating priorities, and increased expectations. Mindfulness is centered around bringing awareness to the present moment, and it works as a strategy to reduce employee stress, improve focus and clarity of thinking, and enhance productivity in the workplace. It is very easy to get sidetracked by the relentless pressures bombarding us, and/or caught up in “workplace drama”, and become affected by those “toxic emotions”. Mindfulness is a way of reprogramming your mind to recharge and rethink in healthier, less stressful, ways. This keynote jump starts you on that journey.

My team and I really enjoyed the sessions that Carolyn presented to us on the topic of Emotional Intelligence. We particularly love her enthusiasm, energy and depth of her knowledge in this field. Communication Styles was excellent in engaging the group to think about whom they are communicating to and what that needs to look like to be effective.
